Rankings

Payment never affects a ranking. A property cannot buy a place on a Best Of list or a higher position on one.

Connected properties

Any stay with a business connection to Overnight Atlas is marked “Affiliated” beside its name, with a note at the bottom of the page: “Affiliated property: This stay has a business connection to Overnight Atlas.” That covers properties connected to the publisher and clients of the publisher’s services. A list that may include a property connected to the publisher is decided by someone outside the business.

Listings

Listings state facts only. We never copy a host’s photos or text. Hosts add their own photos after claiming a listing.

Links

An unclaimed listing has no link to the host’s website. Claiming activates it. Links that hosts add are marked as user-supplied.

Contributors

Contributors write under pen names. Their bios describe what they cover and claim no experience, credentials, or stays that did not happen.

Corrections and removal

If a fact is wrong, the host can claim the listing and tell us. Anyone connected to a property can request its removal.
