By Jeremy Gleason

Airbnb keeps tightening its rules on guest contact, which is another reason to build direct bookings. Meanwhile, here is how to bring Airbnb guests back, and where the line is.

Airbnb’s rules on contact with guests keep getting tighter. Payments for repeat bookings must stay on Airbnb, and from November 20, 2026, a new policy limits what hosts may ask of guests during the booking process and the stay.
